o yeah bye bye mir hello WOW. peeps say it crap but with 13million players it cant be that bad. the trial i played i thought was pretty good just had 2 w8 to upgrade pc and and get all parts of WOW.

lol that 13million players is very misleading

its actually 13million accounts or characters i cant remember.

if there are 8 races thats 1,650,000 accounts if all 8 characters on the account are used.

just think how many accounts you have on MR or other online games, even if its only 2 accounts that straight down to 6.5mil players.

and then you need to consider who is actually active on those accounts now.

all the temp accounts that get tried and then never play again still get counted to the massive 13mil number.



them saying they have 13mil people is just like me saying LR has 5451 players in total where infact 3300 of those accounts are actually Deleted characters they are still retained in the database


and tbh if wow was making 130,000,000 euros a month - it would make the owner of the company one of the richest men in the world in under a year - which is hasnt so thats just one thing to consider when they make massive bold statements like that

According to Figures released earlier this year Blizzard were making £56m a month so thats like 6222222 Subscribers per month. Cant remember if it was £56m or 56m euros if euros thats half the numbers. Still completly destroys all other online games for monthly subs, 2nd best is war i think with 300k?

WoW isnt a bad game but if you play it "hardcore" you can do everything in a few months. I played it for i think 3-5 months Just before ulduar was released and before uld got released it took me 1 month to get full naxx 25 gear then when uld came out i got every boss up to general down then got bored lol.

If you have never tried it def worth giving it a go.

thing is WOW has had 2 big add ons 2 it and will probably keep getting em, mir has been the same old story for a while now just need a change.

like i said plyed the trial where i can get 2 lvl 20 and thouht it was10x better than mir, its like 2d or 3d hmmm wonder wat looks better. also it must do alright 2 have ads on tele or we gunna see mir ad on tele soon :P

tbh i bin playing MR since it was launched and it was ace at the start but now alot of the earlier players have left and nuffing new really has bin added.so many peeps quit MR there is just nuffn 2 do but go 2 bdd everyday or b a bw bum(which i last at 4 about 1hr).

Im not saying that WoW isnt a good game just that they claim things that arent completely true

the fact it had people camping outside computer shops to by the last major patch is testiment to its popularity

but its not really my cup o tea if anything theres to many people playing it for me lol :P when ever i went in to a Auction House it would take a few minutes for the screens to refresh as everyone was running about like crazy folk lol - i should probably try it again with the newer PC i have (ill see if i can dig out my old details for the level 14 dwarf )

Try reading other sections once in a blue moon, for the last month or so "MediumRate" is gone and "Evolution" has replaced it, it'll be going live sometime in the next month or so, Beta should be up within 2-3 weeks, it'll be 2.6 files... If you haven't heard about them, I suggest reading up and looking at screenies, it's basically an expansion on to current Mir, lol.

I've played WoW from start to end (back when clearing MC was an accomplishment for a raiding guild, then on to BWL, then clearing it in a night, then AQ40 etc), I must admit I only did a little of Uld25, but saw all the fights (and did them) on 10 man, very few were 'difficult', at the best it just took time for everyone to learn the tactics (Mimi, what a cock-block every time one person forgot what to do, lol).

If you haven't played it, it's a good laugh, but unless you're one of those players who is just plain awful, you'll get bored and find the game's difficulty has been lowered MASSIVELY to attract more kids/idiots and push out the 1-3% of the population that is elitist (they've been given 'hard mode', which is a joke tbh). It also means anyone that was anywhere between "We're a competent guild that works well together but isn't omgwtf10hoursgrinding amazing" and "We're a great guild, but we're still that step or two behind being amazing" is completely stuck, my guild blitzed the place within a few weeks of trying, Hard modes destroyed us though, they're not hard, they're brutal, they're for the people that do level 60-70 (which took most people between a few weeks and a few months) in a few days and then clear the latest dungeon just as people are hitting the new level cap, lol.

even tho ive never played it , a game with that amount of users has got to be more fun that having a game with 100
