Default Item weight or class specific items?

Well as you know there is going to be 4 classes in when the server comes back up, which means i have to add a lot of items to the database, mainly adding the addon stats to multi stat items such as mir items and any other items which have differant stats depending on class and level.

One of the new features of the files is being able to make items class specific, thiw was mainly added for the 4th class and that stupid run that it use to do. I personally like the feauture, it alows me to create items without worry that other classes will exploit the the high stats in game.

As we are now able to make these items the question is do we really need weight on items?

Weight sort of lost all meaning on Mir Revenge a long time ago, mainly due to me being lazy and not working out which weight a wizard weapon should be.

I will still keep weight on things like pots and ore, but do we really need weight + 5 bracelets and rings?

Personally i am not really bothered weather we have weight on body items or not, but i would like your feed back.

    Thanks.

why is wearing another classes items exploiting? I wear warrior lord items on my tao sometimes for sabuk wall so i can be a up close tao with the big warriors.. It doesnt icrease my hp or any of my sc attacks. Just makes it so i can hold my weight against 150+ warriors instead of just running and using sc dependent spells.

Was talking more of the mir item exploit, when i had to add all the single class mir items due to the high DC which caused problems, cant remember the full story now, but i know it was a problem.

so you wont be changing all items that are associated with certian classes? As i love to mix stuff up every so often.

It keeps other people on there toes.

There is an arguement that having weight might add an extra dimension as you may have to pick and choose kit, (if i wear that lord ring then ill have 2 wear no stone but if i wear god ring i can use a lord stone for eg) It was always tough as a wizard trying to use wizard robes with other items when u got 33. If all classes had this prob it could be fun.
This will prob hinder lower users though and leave higher members free to use what they want. Although I guess it could promote just gettin that extra level.

I think letting level dictate what can wear is good enough.

aye, the level dependant side for items is good. as rich said, it gives ye a reason to lvl.

If weight on items is going to start becoming an issue in what kit people choose to wear, then perhaps making gems and orbs that add +max weight limit to items would be an idea. I think it used to be that only some low level shoes that had those kinds of stats on, such as low shoes/leather boots/black boots/dragon boots and they were all next to useless on here.

More of an "is weight important" issue, rather then making weight an added stat.
