Mir mini games.

Running out of random **** to write about now:|

If you have a nice thread you would like to see on the website then feel free to post it here. As long as has something to do with Mir, online gaming, offline gaming, or tech related it should get posted on the site.

Todays random subject is Mini games within mir.

Games such as Chess, poker, connect 4, basic games which
1. can pass the time when camping for bosses with your guild or mates
2. a way to gamble money /game gold / game points with people in game.

As well as one on one, tourenments could be created, well not for connect 4 lol, but for things like poker and chess. This i feel would be a good way for the lower level players, or players who arn't as good at PvP'ing to get one over on the bullies in games.

As most of the common games in the world have already been writen in Delphi at some point or another, i am guessing that it would just be a matter of changing the look of the game to look ****ter and more like mir, then just adding it to the code, i will have to get this confirmed by the coder.

I do not plan on adding 4000 differant mini games to mir, more like 8 - 10, these 8 - 10 would be picked by the players.

Well we are on the subject do you want to be able to gamble your gg/gp/gold away in a casino? Baring in mind you would in most cases end up losing all your cash to the casino.

Please give me your feed back on mir mini games.

Not a bad idea tbh . I think it may balance out the server too and give the poor folks a fighting chance of making something,get decent kit,ect.However card games alone would get boring fast.Like dont have 5 diferent types of poker then blackjack,chess would be cool and mayby checkers.Other than those im not sure but ill give it a +1 mayby start a poll?

i like the pet gambler, more like that but cheaper would be better for the masses i guess
can't say im gonna sit around playing chess with someone even if i am bored waiting for a boss, id rather just have mir in a window so i can do other stuff on my pc, browse the web for eg or just watch tele
but thats just me

maybe some single player games where high scores are rewarded with prizes
get a certain score 2 obtain watever

I wouldn't recomend playing mini games while waiting for a boss to spawn though, you'll only get yourself PKed. Still, I like the idea of mini games, gambling and prizes. I'm just not sure how much it'll all be used by the average player. You would have to make sure you couldn't use any macros or do anything to exploit them too, there's always someone who spoils it for everyone else.

I really like the idea of poker, chess and a few others being added. Gambling your way to making money would be really cool.

Chess just would be ok for fun. But if your playing for cash you just have chessmaster open and play your oppenents moves on it and use the computers response. Unless your playing a grandmaster you will always win.
