That's your personal opinion. I know I've done fine as a G.M. within the last 2 (almost 3) years :P

Also, I care more about my exams than mir. Because I'd rather go to University than tell off Noobs. However, in my spare time I'm willing to volunteer to give support to users. So stop whinging like a noob please :P

at no point did i say u werent a good gm...

but i logged on near on every single day if not every single day after work... aound 7pm. thursdays all day and same for weekends.. u logged on about 3-4 times in the last 4months at least sed hi and was gone within the hour... to me this is not an active gm. when i first started mr u was on near on every day for a good 3-4 hours.. i do not condone u for wanting to do well in exams!

just merely pointin out compared to how often GMStaff was ingame u was inactive. but hey i know who his player was and dould pm him on there i need to know nething... like when he was @make my lord kit and spawn devil's for our guild in tao town.. etc....

Indeed that is true. However, like I have already said, it's voluntary work. I signed in more than just that. :P Also, I enjoy GMing, and I intend to be a bit more active :P

Anywho. Back to the main topic please

Not aiming this at anyone, just thinking that in my opinion a "good" GM cannot be online all the time.
They are only human and will get bored, the devil makes work for idle hands. Look at Ven or Dave for example.
The more active a GM the more likely they are to cause a problem. Don't get me wrong, I think they were the best two GMs we ever had, but they did in the end lose their positions because they took things too far or took advantage.
The best GMs are the ones who are disconnected from the game itself, who observe impartially and follow procedures when they see problems develop.
I'd rather have a GM on for an hour every two weeks who takes notice of problems than a GM on every day, all day doing stupid events, flooding the server with items or dishing out unusual punishments to people for minor breaches of the rules just because they are bored.
The longer a GM spends online chatting, the more attatched to players they become and this leaves them vunerable to alligations of misconduct.
