Everything is now done on the server.
All char info transfered over, all guilds, etc etc.
Just missing 1 last update.
This is the file system that connects the user names to the character names.
In the orignal mir files this was done using wat is called a flat file system. The file being called hum.db and yhou opened it with notepad. It looks something like this.
User name ----> Char Name
Gamemaster ----> Lapta
Allan ----> auntsally
Allan ----> Idontheal
Gamemaster ---->Idontplay
Well thedeath (the person who wrote the file we use to use) change the system to use SQL, the layout is the same but rather then being in a hum.db its saved nicely in a SQL table.
We never got round to changing the system from using the hum.DB file to SQL, so i am now waiting on the coder to finish the changes so that you can all use your character on the server.
Why not just use the hum.DB file for now?
Well wat i posted was a simple verison of the hum.db file, the file its self is encode so looks more like this
User name ----> Char Name
435£$F$ Gamemaster ----> @:232 342 Lapta
"£$ 234"£ Allan ----> "£$ "23 auntsally
@ZC££"£ 23Allan ----> 2"@£ "£ 23Idontheal
@"£ 2"" FGamemaster ---->"£@DD32Idontplay
So there is no easy way of me converting the SQL to hum.db, other then logging on to each account and creating the characters manually! And no i am not going to do this.
and i cant trust a selected few people not to create chars on there account which dont belong to them. IE
Letting people log on to the server with there user name and password then making a char called lapta or auntsally or another high level char which isnt theirs.
So once i have the new program i will let you all know.
/Lapta
