Terms And Conditions of playing Mir Revenge

Mir revenge is a free Legend of Mir server, and any body has who has an internet connection is allowed to play the server as long as they stay within the terms and conditions of the server.

Mir Revenge is funded by people donating. If it wasn’t for people donating to the server then there wouldn’t be a server to play. People who donate to the server do not and will not get special treatment. Each and every person who plays Mir Revenge is treated the same. However, any people abusing the server even though they have donated to it will not be tolerated on any level. If someone is found to be abusing a member who has donated, especially about donating, then the person in question will be banned, their IP address and their forum account will also closed. 1 - EVENTS
Events are made for players enjoyment or for an easy way to level/get kit. All of you have to NOTE: There is a risk involved in some events of losing kit if its pvp, mob event etc. So if you lose it, then don't *** to us or even shout at us (ive had that done before). The events are made by GM's hence the GM's choose the rules, they may choose if PKing is allowed or not, the prizes, when to end the event, keep players straight etc. Also, you HAVE to listen, through past experience when i tell people not to move, they go and rt or run off, if this happens the GM will either stop the event, @ting you or whatever they find suitable, so LISTEN Pls

Abuse
Any reports of abuse are taken very seriously by Mir Revenge. If you feel you have been abused by another player or by a gamemaster you will need to send in as many unedited screenshot in to us as you can. We will investigate each and every account based on the evidence that is provided to us in our “server logs�. Any information that is provided via the forums and/or emails and/or from people not connected to the case in question will not be used in our investigation. Making the game unplayable for others player is unacceptable on Mir Revenge. This includes but is not limited to the following. Purposely making people red by one of the following means. Logging on a low level character and getting in the way of someone’s attack. Teleporting out of a contest room or fight area when you are poisoned so that when you die the character that poisoned you will get PK points. Shoulder dashing a wall when you are on low HP to kill yourself and give someone PK points. Also killing someone and trying to log out to avoid PK points is unacceptable, this includes but is not limited to the following. Poisoning someone then logging out. Attacking someone, taking them down to very little HP, logging out and allowing someone else to (1 hit) kill them. Luring mobs on to someone then logging out. Recalling people who you know are away from keyboard to an area where they may get killed by mobs + pushing people out of safezones so they can be PKed. These sorts of actions are called grief play.

We all get abuse at one point from an angry player, lets face it. And most of you just take it in, which is fine until it gets to racist, sexist and sexuality comments which is just too far :P. All i can really say is take some screenies, report it to an online GM (so they can watch your PM's and see it for themselves). Once uve got the screenies, send them away to admin@mirrevenge.com

GRIEFING
I'm sure most have u have been griefed once or twice before, but many of you still ask the question, What is Griefing? Here is some things that we consider griefing (if i miss any out, pm me and ill add them in )
1) Tao's Curse/Poison outa sz then run back to sz constantly
2) Poison/Cursing/Hitting then running straight to sz constantly
3) DEing, TTing, GTing etc outa a Fight zone
4) Door blocking in caves & town (not really griefing, just bannable)

Hackings
Hacking is also taken seriously by Mir Revenge. Most hacking and hacking related issues are due to bad passwords and account sharing. If you share your account with someone and they steal items from your account, this is not classed as a hacking, and therefore we will be unable to help you in this matter. If your user name and password are the same then this is called being stupid and if your account is hacked we will not be able to help you. If however your account is somehow hacked then we will do our best to find out who hacked your account, and if possible get back any items that you lost. We will never replace your items or gold, we will only try and recover your items. If you report your account being hacked and we discover that your account wasn’t hacked or you were sharing your account, then you will be banned for wasting our time.

Bugs
If you find a bug on the server, it is your duty to make sure that is has been reported on the forums. Please make sure that your check the forums before posting. If you have discovered a bug that gives you’re an advantage in the game and fail to report the bug, your account may get banned and items and gold maybe removed from your account. This is called bug exploiting.

When connecting to Mir Revenge server, you must be using the latest EXE. If you are found to be using an old EXE then you will be asked to download the latest EXE and kicked from the server regardless of what you are doing at the time. If you are found to be cheating on the server you will be kicked first, then questions will be asked later. If you’re found to be cheating we will do our best to locate any other accounts that you may have, and ban these accounts to. Mir Revenge doesn’t want cheaters on its servers. We will also ban your IP from our servers and our forums.

Duped items will not be returned with added stats. Any duped items found ingame will be deleted and replaced with the same item without added stats and a unique item number added in the database this is the only fair way of doing this.

Note for Guild Leaders

Any of the following in guild titles

{}@~?:><|!"?$%^&*()_+?[]#';/.,\` or a space

will be deleted.

Any one found to be having a title with the above in them, will get a warning. If the guild leader does not change the title then the following action will be taken.

Guild deleted.
3 day ban for all 3 guild leaders
Black listed from being a guild leader for 3 months.

The guild titles cause a lot of database problems which in turn causes lag on the server.

Mir Revenge is hosted on a dedicated server in a server complex somewhere in the USA. This is great for a lag free server, but from an admin point of view it isn’t that good. As the server and the internet connection to the server are owned and operated by a company that hosts many other servers, this means that the server might lose connection for a few minutes or even hours a week. If this happens then Mir Revenge can not replace or refund any items or gold lost. 99% of the time if the connection to the server is lost, you will be lagged out of the server straight away and therefore will not lose anything. If Mir Revenge staff cause the server to lag out we will replace any items or gold lost, as long as we are able to trace the item or gold. Mir Revenge is not able to replace any pets lost due to lag outs.

Mir Revenge reserves the rights to make changes to the server and forum as it feels fit.

We will try to respond ASAP but in some cases please be patient

If you have shared your account with other people (we log all IP addresses) then please don't email us screaming your account has been hacked and demanding we return your items. Because we won't be doing it - you have been warned!

If you have died and lost an item - We can't return it.
If your account is banned we will email you the reason.
We will only email you on the email address you provided when u created your account. (Make sure you enter an email address)

If you are sending screen shots please do not change the file format or edit them in any way as this will stop us being able to verify them correctly.

If your are reporting cheats or abuse please provide more then 1 screen shot or use fraps (screen recording software)

Staff at Mir Revenge do not get paid to help so please do not give any kind of abuse towards any staff members, Staff spend alot of there personal time trying to keep you guys playing and helping other users out. Any signs of abuse no matter how small will result in action being taken there and then, continually signs of abuse will result in an account ban.

Server Trading
If you are reporting someone selling an account or trading an account only 1 screen shot is needed. Its not allowed, so don't do it.
All it does it cause unnecessary problems, stopping Jamie from doing necessary server duties. Those who choose to ignore the numerous warnings and are indeed caught doing so, will be banned.
One of the main issues jamie has is account hackings... and 9/10 they are either to do with Stupid password (e.g. Password, Fish, Bob.. etc) or account sharing. If your password is stupid i advise u change it now otherwise i can guarentee u won't be helped with your "hacked account". As you should all now see aswell is that Account trading is illegal and will cause your account to be banned.

You cannot trade from server to server. This includes GG, Items. So Nothing can be transferred from server to server.

Forum thread title's
if any thread is created that has a title of "Ven, lapta needed asap" it will be deleted asap as GM's and admins to these forums and game have expressed that they will not be reading threads with titles such as these as it is just rude and gives no idea as to what the thread is about.

If you are have problems with your account, unable to login, create a character, need a characters restoring (all kit will be lost) or any other problems please e-mail admin@mirrevenge.com
Please put your character's name in the subject field please.

If you have found a bug on the server please e-mail
admin@mirrevenge.com or post it on the bug section of the forum
you might even be rewarded although this is completely at our discretion.

Forum rules.

1. Search before posting.

2. Do not ask for server ip addresses, use auto patch.

3. Do not post server ip address, we have made it very easy for you to connect to the server, all you have to do is run the auto patch which can be found here www.mir4.co.uk/patch.php

4. We have forum sections for a reason. Please post in the right section.

5. Do not post screen shots of abuse/grief on the forums send them in to admin@miremails.com

6. Make sure your title is related to the thread you are making. Threads with titles such as, help, lapta, gamemaster will be deleted. If you need help from a gamemaster, entitle your thread, "i need help with xxx"

7. Do not advertise other website or servers within the forums without 1st asking forum admin. 95% of the time you will be allowed to post links to other servers and website, but we need to check out the website to make sure it is safe for users to visit.

8. Do not abuse/slag each other off/flame each other within the forums.

9. Try not to share forum accounts. It's quick and easy to make ur own account. Once you have signed up PM IRCHEATING and she will activate your account.

10. Do not ask for item stats, they can all be found on the website Mir Revenge Item stats.

Mods rules.

1. Under no circumstances should any other users have access to your account.

2. Under no circumstances should you ban/warn a user for no apparant reason.

3. Do not abuse, flame or "shout" at any members of the forum (includes calling people an idiot or a tool).

4. Users Privacy and Details of others are to be kept secret and confidential at all times.

5. Posts in staff chat, are meant for staff. Do not allow users to see these and they must remain in the staff section of the forum.

6. Staff PM's are also for staff, never let regular members see these.

7. Do not edit a users Signature/Avatar without their permission. (If they are abusive, rude, or too large this is an exception)

8. Do not spam threads

9. Do not post in closed threads unless you have a good reason to. (this prevents undermining and/or creating friction between other staff)

10. Read posts carefully before replying, as you may miss something out and get the wrong idea. Ask for player clearification if you must.

11. If an administrator closes a thread, do not re-open unless you have a good reason to. Ask Admins permission first.

12. If a user opens a new thread, continueing from a closed thread, Delete or Merge the thread immediatly and issue a warning and do not allow them to continue it.

13. Only do what you find is fair, if you disagree with a ban/warning, take it up with a senior member of staff.

14. Don't start, participate, endorse, enhance, encourage any arguement that will result in abuse or Flame wars.

15. Try not to bring your emotions into your replies or posts. If you are having a bad day then keep your bad day away from the forum and to not take it out on other members of the community. Keep yourself in a optimistic and professional mannor in your staff position.

16. Keep threads and forum sections free of spam at all times, spam makes the forums messy.

17. Unless you are a GameMaster ingame, you should not attempt to sort out ingame problems (unless they have outside problems, i.e updater problems, client problems etc etc). Forward them to a GM or admin.

18. Allow users to have their say.. to an extent. Don't let things get out of control. eg. Abuse, Flames, personal attacks, racism. All not tollerated.

19. Give users a punishment that is fair. For example don't give someone a permanent ban for flaming once.

20. Any purposely made noobish/offensive names such as "SUCKMYD*CK or ChaosBlowsMenses" Etc shall be instantly banned

21. Any person caught trying to impersonate any forum staff or GameMaster shall have all their forum and game accounts & IP's Banned immediately. As per Lapta's rule.

22. No thread shall be Deleted if; a MOD or GM personally disagrees with subject, is trying to hide anything.

If a Thread is spam Staff have the right to SoftDelete and Keep any evidence of Abuse or Flames etc.. for proof if issuing a ban/Suspention.

Otherwise a Physical Deletion and PM warning to the player can be given, or Physical Deletion if the subject is no longer relevent or pertains to Mir Revenge.

23.When Merging a Thread, Chose the "Leave no redirect" option. This only Applies to threads on the same section of the forum. When you move threads to another section of the forum the choice is up to you. The Aim is to keep the forum as neat and concise as possible.

Gamemasters Rules
1. No abuse what so ever to players or over global shouts.
2. No recalling players to yourself unless you are on a town map and the player is on a town map. If a player is trapped due to GT bug, then use the “ting� command.
3. You may only chat ban a character for up to 10 minutes.
4. You may only chat ban a person 3 times within any one hour period, if you feel you have to chat ban them any further, then i would suggest you ban them instead.
5. You must post all players you have banned, and there user ID, on the forums, under the staff section.
6. You must never give out, user ID’s, passwords, IP address, levels or any other information related to a player. This includes telling players about who picked up there death drop. This also includes screen shots that have been sent in to you.
7. You must never give players items that you have made using the @make command unless it is for an event. Approved event items can be found below.
8. If someone drops an item in game, then it is not your job to try and get that item back from them, wether it still be on the floor somewhere, or wether it be in someone’s bag or storage. If the person has dropped an item due to a known bug then please talk to Lapta.
9. If you are doing an event please do an in game shout and a forum post at least 30 minutes before hand to give people a chance to get ready, finish hunts etc.
10. When doing any event please clearly state all rules before hand. This way there is no confusion over right and wrong. Please try not to change the rules half way through an event. The main problem during an event is people being PK’ed and it’s ok because the GM (that could be you) has said it’s ok to PK now. This is unfair on everybody. What rules and punishments you set down it up to you.
11. You may only do one event a day MAXIMUM. Events must cater for all players online, so spawning 5 bosses in a cave is fine as long as you spawn 5 bosses for low level characters.
12. You must never, ever, spawn an Evil Mir.
13. You must never spawn bosses on town maps, as people will be able to lure the mobs to the guard which is unfair on other players.
14. You must never spawn any sort of mob in a town building. This does not including contest rooms.
15. Never allow ANYONE to access your GM account. If you think your account has been compromised in any way, you must immediately inform the entire GM team ASAP and send Lapta an E-mail.
16. Upon connection, immediately activate the @gamemaster command and ensure that you are in “peaceful� mode. (To avoid being killed or killing players)
17. Prior to logging off the game, ensure that you teleport to the GM map "@regoto q001" and clear your bag "@clearbag".
18. • Do not spawn exp giving and/or drop bearing Mobs for individual Players this is favouritism and will never be tolerated.
19. • Do not interfere with Sabuk Wall.
20. Never reveal Mob Spawn Locations or Times.
21. Never reveal Mob Drop Table Contents.
22. Do not reveal the Location of Players, NPC’s or Mobs.
23. Do not directly reveal “Quest� information.
24. Do not give out any "Quest" items. This includes Events, so none at all, ever!
25. Do not Buy or Sell items to Players
26. Do not place “rare� Items in Shops
27. Do not interfere with “Legal� Game Play (PK is not illegal, but Harassment/Grief Play is!)
28. If you create a 2nd or 3rd Char, you MUST publish its name in the Staff section of the forum. You must also have the characters name put onto the GM Guild page as well.
29. Do not reset player PK points. (players who are griefed are an exception, and so are PK events like the last one Jamie did).
30. Never make any Adjustments to a Player’s Character.
31. Never make any Adjustments to a Players Inventory or Storage.
32. Never Group with and Hunt with Players. Never Kill Mobs for Players
33. GameMasters, Under no circumstances are they to have any storage chars or storage accounts.
34. WARNING • DO NOT MASS MAKE any items at all including bene oils - This lags the server DB out.
35. Under no circumstances shall a GM USE the TrustMerchant NPC's when it comes to - Selling or buying items. You may, however, browse the list to see any problems if a bug is reported. But in the end only Lapta should be dealing with the TM NPC.

Yeh true greifing will never stop its just part of the game got to be careful and pick your fights if you dont then you just end up loosing kit and no1 will help you
