HR Players, Extreme Compensation

What i'm willing to do is any new person who logs on and if you pm me on fable. I'm willing to level you to 80ish. Although lone i would say the players from hr should be given around level 100 as it is not hard to reach on here and requires a days work minimum.

whats the highiest lvl on extreme ?

current highest level is 167 who is Penny(wizard) and Silo is also 167(taoist)

I just did the math for the top 300 players and the average level is 82 so giving plays a level 100 character might annoy quite a few current players


I have just written up a script to give players some starting kit. (the allocation of these items is logged so any sneaky players out there thinking they will be able to make some money, ill be watching :P )

its not fair for us "HR players" who spent 2-3 years lvling and gettin items and now evrything is simply Vanished!
u wanna b kind enough to restore our chars to a server whos been up ( for how long ? )
but with half the lvl >< lol, so me as a lvl 140war and 177tao, and lord kitted on both chars, will be ermm 70war and 89tao and not just that >< an get from the best kit in game, to worse kit in game too :S

What can I say???
What a shock to try to log on then try the forum to see HR doesn't exist.
No where to even talk about it.
Which means as I am exactly doing people will talk on here and it really is not your fault or anything to do with Extreme server.
So I apologise for saying anything here about the whole thing but after playing on HR for 2 years plus I am exceedingly gutted.
I don't hunt big places so I have spent a long time flogging away to get to level 118.
Many many people have done the same.

If it has gone permanently then this server will increase rapidly and I really hope the same doesn't happen here as HR.

People love Mir. It is a game format that is easy to play compared to some games and has as you know been around since 2001. It has the potential to go on for many more years.

Yes there are the people who really spoil it for others with cheating in particular which is a shame.
Then you have the ones who because they get banned have to "dos" the server.
It's really a shame.

It is kind of you to offer help to those who have played HR for a long time. Thank you.

I hope your server is successful and people appreciate your efforts.

Most people will complain when something goes wrong but forget to compliment when they go right.
That's a leading frustration for anyone doing a service such as games like this and I hope you can hold on to the fact that whilst people are not complaining they are happy with what you are providing.

One question though. Would we be able to have our name from HR if HR has closed for good?

not an option for me either tbh, i didnt spend x ammount of pounds and 2yrs+ to end up with d rings tbh although i do understand and appreciate what your trying to do.At the same time i dont think you,d want half the muppets who basically put jamie into a position where he got so pissed off to close the server.I still think this is early days atm and maybe once jamies cooled down he might rethink things, but thats down to him..

As to the names issue - If the name has already been taken by someone on the server unfortnately i cant nick it from them for you sorry >.< so you might want to log on asap and grab the names you are after.


its nice to know people appriecate the offer and i can understand the gutted feeling of having a server pulled from under you, its happened to me a couple of times and i dont forsee it happening with Extreme any time soon.

If anything were to happen to the server i would do my best to give you as much notice as possible but currently the server is in good shape it has enough money in the account to pay for 6 months worth of hosting if (i have tried to build up a kind of Safety fund in case the donations ever dry up or if the hosts decide to pull the plug i should be able to get another server online within a few minutes of a new host making their server available for me to connect too )

so the server should last for a long while yet.




The NPC to claim the Items should be ingame by tonight (i need to get home test it out quickly and then reload the npc :-) {one of the burdens of working a full time job whilst running the server lol} )



as for players who dos attack servers, im a stubbon bastard and will ban any character that decides to do this and ill happily sit there and script stuff/work on offline databases whilst the server was being attacked simply to wait out the attack, after all if the server was down its a quite life for me :P

but so far extreme hasnt suffered from any attacks and i do try to resolve matters before they get to that stage

lol yeah i hope lapta cools off and gets the server back online, as for having the muppets here thats all cool, normally what happens is they complain about something, cause a fuss, either the something gets fixed/changed and they tend to quieten down.

if they decide to keep going on about things they have already been resolved i'll just chatban them so far after running LowRate their community is really friendly and its good fun to play, and extreme seems to be going the same way so hopefully if the muppets show up either they will start being less muppety (not sure if thats a word) or they will end up leaving :P

so im fairly happy for anyone to come and play after all if people are having fun i get a quite life (as Bing mentioned if things are good then people are quiet lol)

A bit of a boo boo on my part. When I suggsted this to Lone it was abasis idea. It needed a bit more thought on my part whioch I have now done.

Two things

1/ We are gonna cheese off some of the current players on Extreme and need to take that into account in any action that might be taken. Its no more their fault that HR is down than it is ours so we need to be sensitive to whatever this offer does to them.,

2/ The idea of "half the level of HR" is really way to low as what would be a more meaningfulgesture would be 30% of the exp they had invested (which would put most at levels way above to 30/40/50% vote thats happening).

The idea is basically sound I think but I recognise the concerns from HR players not only for what they have lost but also about the 50% level means in terms of effort.

Can I suggest that the poll might refelct 30/40/50% of their HR exp (and then reflect that in a level on Extreme?).

How does this idea sound?
